APS 5 Grants Assessor

Your new company

This Federal Government Department is focussed on providing support to the Australian community. As an assessor, you will be working in a large team on a project that will have a direct impact on the wider community.

Your new role

You will be developing funding agreements, analyzing and assessing grants applications, preparing documents and summary information, as well as liaising with external stakeholders and providing general administrative support. You will be working closely within a small team to ensure this high volume of applications are processed and targets are achieved.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful for this role, you will have experience working within a similar role. You will have excellent written and communication skills to be able to effectively liaise with high profile stakeholders both internally and externally. You will have high attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure. You must also be available to work full time throughout the assigned contract length.

About the Role

You will provide expertise and specialised advice across a range of programs for Federal Government agencies. You will also be responsible for the management of schedule, budget and resources, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to the project progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements.

What do you need?

– To comply with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agencies guidelines and regulations.
– To be able to contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
– Manage workflows, and develop strategies.
– Quality management and administration associated with the project.
– Ability to identify risks and opportunities.
– Ability to plan, organise, lead and control complex, technical or sensitive projects.
– Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Project Management experience from Federal Government and a Security Clearance highly desirable.
