Randstad Education is working with a small private centre in Sydneys Eastern suburbs that are searching for an experienced 2IC to assist in the successful running of this 22 place centre.

You will be responsible for the overall operation of the early childhood service including children, parents and programing. The centre works over ratio with five ECTs on site. The role will see you lead and guide educators in creating an innovative and creative educational program, you will ensure the successful implementation of the program while also having input on the centre philosophy. Policies and procedures must be kept up to date and in line with working towards the QIP plan. All budgeting and rosters will be completed by the centre owner.

The role will see you work 8 hours a day 8am to 5pm five days a week with off the floor programming time included. If this is not suit the centre can be flexible with working hours.

My client is an elite Not for Profit organisation and outreach agency that offer community support and mental health assistance. They aim to work with people from an early intervention perspective and support community members with general counselling and Psychological services.

Your Role

Working part time (3 days per week, additional days available) you will be responsible for providing therapeutic and clinical assessments/interventions to individuals, couples and families. The majority of your role will include a face to face caseload as well as EAP work and telephone counselling.
This position has come about due to expansion and will be based in the Muswellbrook office, working within a tight knit team of friendly working professionals.
You will be working with a vast and varied caseload of clients, of all ages and backgrounds. You will be reporting in to the Manager of Counselling and Clinical Services. You might also be required to work at different sites depending on the need (Muswellbrook & Singleton).

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications required:

– Tertiary level qualifications in an allied health discipline including either Psychology or Social Work – Eligibility to obtain a Medicare provider number.
– Registration with one of the following: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
– Minimum 2 years’ post registration experience in a clinical setting and/or counselling service using a number of evidence based interventions (CBT, IPT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, etc.)
– Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions via at least two of the following modalities: individual, group, family and/or telephone
– Experience in providing clinical support
– Experience in or willingness to register as an approved counsellor for Victims of Crim.
