The Role

Due to growth, an exciting opportunity now exists for a talented commercial litigator to join this fun, friendly and talented team as either an Associate or Senior Associate depending on experience.

The team has a broad client base and practices across a wide range of commercial disputes and insolvency matters for quality corporate clients.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ post admission experience to be considered for an Associate role, or 5+ years’ PAE to be considered for a Senior Associate position. The ability to manage files autonomously under the guidance of the partner is essential.

This is an outstanding opportunity to progress your career as there are no other Associates or Senior Associates currently in this team (no competition!). This role will also offer incredible flexibility, as the firm does not believe in chaining its lawyers to their desks and is happy for the successful candidate to work from home if this is their preference!

This National law firm seeks an experienced and high performing legal secretary to join their insurance team which focuses on serious injury claims, predominately arising out of motor and transport accidents and public liability matters.

Supporting at Partner level, you will be a highly motivated legal secretary who enjoys providing a strong support across both client and file management. This is a hands-on, busy Legal Secretary where you will be responsible for:
Managing and maintaining time sheets and ensuring daily entries for fee earners are completed accurately.

– Preparing documentation in a variety of jurisdictions including Federal and State Courts, Tribunals and Regulatory bodies;
– Diary management, including follow-ups to ensure that critical deadlines are met;
– Drafting correspondence for final approval;
– Scheduling conferences, arranging necessary travel and tracking related expenses;
– Preparing, updating and reviewing large scale Briefs;
– Initiating discovery process, including collating documents and preparing Affidavits and/or Lists of Documents;
– Managing, monitoring and updating electronic and hard copy files;
– Transcribing digital dictations in an accurate and timely manner; and
– Liaising with external stakeholders including clients, Barristers, Court representatives, Solicitors and service providers.

This role requires an experienced legal secretary with Commercial Litigation experience who is able to hit the ground running, has initiative, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a professional approach to their work.

TEMPORARY Legal Secretary – Insurance Litigation

This highly regarded mid tier law firm seeks an energetic and enthusiastic legal secretary to join their insurance practice. This is one the largest teams in the firm and offers amazing resources, structure and training to ensure success throughout the team!

Working on a temporary basis for an ongoing period, you will work across a mix of defendant claims in the public liability space. Your duties may include.

– Word processing
– Database management
– Reformatting and amending documents
– Collating court documents including Briefs and Court Books
– Filing court documents (both electronic and hard copy)
– Diary management
– Arranging medical examinations and obtaining medical reports
– Assisting with monthly billing

To be considered for this temp role, you will have at least 2 years experience as a legal secretary with knowledge of of insurance litigation matters.
